With every passing year since Lighthouse Cove’s establishment in 2005, we are increasingly humbled and delighted by how far we’ve come, and how our own growth and success parallels the rising level of professional respect and regard aimed at DSPs and Frontline Supervisors. This is due to an ever-broadening realization of the essential nature of these professionals’ work, bolstered by support from organizations and businesses connected – directly and indirectly – to the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities field and to Lighthouse Cove.
At the beginning of 2023, the Lighthouse Cove team and Board of Directors took a cue from other extremely successful and widely-beloved non-profits and converted from event-based fundraising to an annual support cycle, or what we’re calling “the ABC” – the Annual Booster Campaign.
A boost from your organization or business allows Lighthouse Cove to continue offering, and even expand, our free and low-cost events and programming.
This adjustment allows us to reliably acquire funding needed for Lighthouse Cove’s programs and events – from the annual DSP Recognition Event, scholarships for Leadership LAUNCHpad participants, Beat the Winter Blues, activities, and high-profile speakers for our yearly Summit, to free educational streaming on Lighthouse Cove TV+ and the Lighthouse Cove Ambassador program.
